In Tottenham Hotspur’s recent win against Everton the fans finally got to see the best of their back-up left-back Ben Davies.
The Welshman is currently playing to fill the gap left by Danny Rose’s injury and has been criticised in the past by Spurs fans for his performances.
But he put in an excellent display as Spurs outplayed Everton in a 3-2 win at White Hart Lane.
Never a better time to look at the interesting youth career of the former Swansea City player.
When you consider the Tottenham Hotspur first-team and are asked to pick a player who developed his talent in Denmark, Christian Eriksen will spring to mind.
But he is not alone. Davies also played a portion of his youth career in Denmark.
Tottenham’s Ben Davies and Christian Eriksen before the match
The 23-year-old from Neath spent time at the academy of Viborg in Denmark, after his father took a job in the country.
Speaking to Lost Boyos in 2016, he admitted playing indoors in the winter helped the technical side of his game, and perhaps the experience of playing in a foreign country from such a young age was a major benefit to the Tottenham Hotspur player.
Tottenham fans will hope, no matter how he developed his talents, they get to see more of the same from the Everton performance from the Welsh international.
