Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has been touted to make a move away from North London this summer.

Victor Wanyama of Tottenham Hotspur arrives during the Tottenham Hotspur training session at Real Madrid Training Complex on May 30, 2019 in Madrid, Spain.

In recent seasons, Tottenham’s Victor Wanyama has fallen down the pecking order and he may have fallen a little further following the capture of Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

Injuries have played their part in Wanyama’s struggle, lack of game time and lack of form, but one thing that cannot be argued is that he is a player of serious quality on his day.

Therefore, it shouldn’t be a surprise that teams are still seemingly keen on his services, with his future up for grabs as Thursday’s deadline looms ever closer.

The Daily Mail have claimed that midfield powerhouse Wanyama is attracting the interest of Bournemouth this summer, as they look to offer him much-needed game time.

If Wanyama were to move to Dean Court this summer then he would transform the club because signing a player of his quality can help them go to that next level.

A team and club like Bournemouth are punching above their weight by being in the Premier League, but they have proven their worth in England’s top-flight for a number of seasons now.

Manager Eddie Howe of Bournemouth during the Pre-Season Friendly match between AFC Bournemouth and Lyon at Vitality Stadium on August 03, 2019 in Bournemouth, England.

Eddie Howe has played some eye-catching football and given chances to some of the best young talents in the country, but there has always been one constant problem – their defence.

They have always leaked goals, and as a result, they haven’t been able to break into that top 10, but a signing such as Wanyama would help them do that.

The Kenya international would protect that back four and allow the attack-minded players to do their jobs. Plus, he would add much-needed bite to Howe’s midfield, as well as experience and a player who reads the defensive side of the game very well.

Whilst a move to Bournemouth would be a step down for Wanyama, he would no doubt transform the club if he were to move and showcase what he is good at.
