In just under a month two Tottenham loanees could face off for Norwich City and Ipswich Town.
Tottenham Hotspur loaned out two of their most promising players last week and there is a date in the calendar next month which both should have circled.
Young defender Cameron Carter-Vickers headed out to Ipswich Town while promising winger Marcus Edwards has joined Norwich City.
The two clubs are local rivals and do battle at Carrow Road on February 18.
It is a game Spurs’ scouts should be watching closely, with rumoured target James Maddison likely to be prominently involved for the Canaries.
Carter-Vickers has made an instant impression for Ipswich, being selected by Mick McCarthy for a start in the weekend’s 1-1 draw at Bolton.
This is a good sign, following on from a largely impressive spell with Sheffield United.
Edwards faces a tougher challenge to establish himself for Norwich, in his first loan spell away from Spurs.
He is a year younger than Carter-Vickers and did not feature in Norwich’s matchday squad at the weekend in their loss to Sheffield United.
The hope is that in a month’s time when the derby takes place, he will be deemed ready by manager Daniel Farke to make an impact.
Going up against his Spurs teammate Carter-Vickers, he will have to be at his best.
