Tottenham Hotspur have been without the defender since the start of November.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld has posted a pleasing update on his fitness via Twitter.
Alderweireld has not played for Tottenham since 1 November, during which time the Londoners have won only three of their eight Premier League fixtures.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed last week his side are set to be without the Belgian defender until the beginning of February at the earliest, and even discussed the possibility of recalling Cameron Carter-Vickers from his loan spell at Sheffield United.

But after being pictured doing ball work in training on Thursday, it would appear as though Alderweireld is at least on schedule for a return in the early new year.
The 28-year-old posted:
It was the first time since being sidelined that Alderweireld has offered a public insight into his recovery, and will come as welcome news to Spurs fans, who have also had to do without another centre-back, Davinson Sanchez, through suspension of late.
Tottenham have slipped from joint-second in the Premier League to seventh, behind Saturday’s opponents Burnley in Alderweireld’s absence.
How badly have Tottenham missed Alderweireld?
