Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino and Arsenal manager Unai Emery are both said to be keen on Joachim Andersen.

Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer stance over Joachim Andersen may give Arsenal a chance to get hold of the defender.

The London Evening Standard claim that Tottenham are delaying any move for the £25 million-valued Sampdoria man, which seems like a risk, with Unai Emery’s Arsenal side also circling.

Spurs are keen on Andersen, but won’t be making a bid any time soon.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side want to bring in a midfielder first, and they are also waiting to see what happens with Toby Alderweireld.

If Alderweireld does go, Andersen is thought to have become Spurs’ first choice – but it remains to be seen whether he will still be at Sampdoria, as Arsenal want to sign him.

Football London have suggested that Arsenal want Andersen, with Emery on the look out for centre-backs.

With Spurs delaying any bid, Arsenal would be wise to move now if they want the 23-year-old.

If Arsenal go head to head with Pochettino’s side in the transfer market, then a move to Spurs may well be more appealing nowadays.

However, Tottenham’s decision to wait on Alderweireld before moving for Andersen gives Arsenal a chance to wrap up a deal while their North London rivals hesitate.
