Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason was impressed with Liverpool star Adam Lallana’s performance for England against Scotland at Celtic Park on Tuesday.
While the rest of the country was singing the praises of Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney for his performance against Scotland, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason was impressed with another England international.
Liverpool’s £25 million summer signing Adam Lallana came on as a half-time substitute against Scotland at Celtic Park in Glasgow and gave a good account of himself.
The former Southampton star played a role in Wayne Rooney’s second goal in the 3-1 win in the friendly international and was a threat throughout his time on the pitch.
Tottenham attacking midfielder Mason was impressed with Lallana’s display and took to social networking site Twitter to express his admiration.
Lallana struggled with injury problems at the start of the season, but in recent weeks he has established himself as a key player in Liverpool’s midfield.
| Goal Assist | Key Passes | Total Dribbles | Dribbles Won | Total Pass | Accurate Pass | Touches/Game | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adam Lallana | 0 | 6 | 13 | 9 | 160 | 133 | 43.33 | 6 | 413 |
There is a lot to come from Lallana, of course, and Liverpool fans will hope that he continues his run of good form on Sunday when the Reds take on Crystal Palace away from home.
As for 23-year-old Mason, he will certainly like to follow in the footsteps of Lallana and establish himself as a key player for Tottenham.
