The 19-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a left-winger, is one for the future, and the England Under-21 international can only get better in the coming years.
If Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has decided that Rose is not in his plan, then there is no point in the club waiting for the left-back to leave before making a move for a player they really want.
