Celtic are said to be interested in signing Reo Griffiths, with Brendan Rodgers keen on the youngster.

Spurs Reo Griffiths looks to attack during the Premier League 2 match between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at Meadow Park on March 10, 2018 in Borehamwood, England.

According to Football London, Celtic are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur’s Reo Griffiths, and he could be their next Moussa Dembele, if given time to thrive.

Griffiths has been one of the stand out players at under-18 level this season, with his goalscoring record simply staggering.

Griffiths has netted 23 goals in 17 games, and the Spurs youngster is now clearly at a level above most of his peers.

Griffiths’ contract at Spurs is set to expire in the summer though, and Celtic are thought to be in the race to sign the striker.

And if the Bhoys did land Griffiths then he could be their ideal replacement for Dembele in time.

Dembele’s future at Parkhead is currently in doubt, and there are suggestions that he could leave this summer.

Dembele turned up at Celtic with more first-team experience than Griffiths, after playing a season in the Championship with Fulham, but the Spurs youngster could have the potential to fill the void left by the Frenchman’s departure, if he was to leave.

And the links with the Spurs youngster should excite Celtic fans, as he could be an excellent addition to Brendan Rodgers’ side.
