Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm has been the model professional since signing for the club in 2014.

Vorm was signed as the back-up for Hugo Lloris and he has had to bide his time and play mainly in cup competitions.

He is now in line for a start in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United next month Mauricio Pochettino keeps his faith in him.

Vorm is out of contract at the end of the season and he might just have played it perfectly.

Having been a deputy for the past four seasons, 34-year-old Vorm will surely want to ensure his next move is playing regular football.

The Dutchman can easily secure a starting role at a Championship side, or at one of Scotland’s top clubs.

But should feel he is capable of much more, and is good enough to start for a Premier League club.

Vorm has one match, potentially another, in which he can really prove his worth and elevate his stock to secure the best move possible.

Starring in a semi-final win over Manchester United would enhance his reputation, and leading Spurs to FA Cup final victory in May would be even sweeter.

It would be the perfect way for Vorm to bow out, and take the best move possible which his reputation is higher than it has ever been.

He will be reliant on Mauricio Pochettino keeping him in the side to prove his worth, although Hugo Lloris will be desperate to feature himself.

If Vorm does lead Spurs to cup final success he could even secure a bumper contract offer from Tottenham in the process.

He is in an ideal situation right now to secure the very best move for himself for the coming seasons and really take his pick.

Now he needs to step up and earn it.
