Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has struggled so far this season, and his form wasn’t particularly impressive last term either.

Mauricio Pochettino has told Football London that there is absolutely nothing wrong with Dele Alli.
Alli’s form at Tottenham has dipped over the past two seasons, with the attacking midfielder failing to kick on after busting on to the scene as a teenager.
Alli was not included in England’s latest squad, which should serve as a wake-up call to the 23-year-old.
And Pochettino has confidence that Alli can regain his top form again soon.
“There’s nothing wrong. You need to understand that football is about form, about some not so good periods,” Pochettino said.
“Dele only needs time to recover his best performance. We’re going to help him, provide all the tools and platform for him to recover his best way to play.
“There’s no doubt Dele is going to recover. He’s in a tough period but we need him, he’s a very important player for us. In time, we’re going to recover the best Dele Alli of course.”

When at his best Alli was one of the top goalscoring midfielders in the Premier League, and there is no doubting his quality.
Alli’s form has been badly affected by injury, but he has also often been tasked with playing a slightly deeper role in Spurs’s side which he may not be ideally suited to.
Whether Alli will be given a chance in Tottenham’s starting line-up at the weekend remains to be seen.
Spurs are set to take on Brighton & Hove Albion tomorrow, with the pressure on Pochettino’s men to get the three points.
