Tottenham Hotspur youngster Marcus Edwards’ display for England’s under-19 side caught the eye yesterday.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have raved about the performance of Marcus Edwards for England’s under-19 side yesterday.

Edwards started on the substitutes’ bench for the Three Lions at the under-19 European Championships against Holland, but he still had a major impact on the match.

The Spurs youngster came on to the pitch to set-up England’s winner, with a wonderful piece of skill.

Edwards picked up the ball out wide, before driving into the box and cutting the ball back from Ben Brereton to score.

The Tottenham man will now be hoping that he has done enough to force his way into England’s starting line-up for the rest of the tournament.

And Spurs fans have praised Edwards display, during his cameo performance.

England beat Holland 1-0 to put themselves on the brink of the semi-finals at the international tournament.

There are hopes that Edwards could break into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team next term, after impressing at youth level for Spurs.
