Tottenham Hotspur exacted ruthless revenge over an old foe on Friday.
Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini before the match
Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan were left shell shocked by Tottenham Hotspur on Friday when Mauricio Pochettino’s side demolished them 6-1.
It was the perfect pre-season game for the North London side, with teenager Shayon Harrison capping the scoring on his professional debut.
To get one over on old foe Roberto Mancini in such a manner should also have brought satisfaction to the Tottenham hierachy.
Tottenham’s Dele Alli scores their third goal
The Italian presided over a handful of key defeats inflicted upon Tottenham, during his time as manager of Manchester City.
Among them was a 5-1 win at White Hart Lane back in 2011, with Edin Dzeko blasting four goals. He followed a result up later that season with a 3-2 win over Harry Redknapp’s side.

The results were costly with Spurs missing out on the Champions League by a single point that season.
A 1-0 win for City at the end of 2010/11 due to a Crouch own goal also ended Spurs’ chances of qualification in that campaign.
Now it seems Tottenham’s heavy win over Inter has had a terminal impact on Mancini’s time at Inter Milan.
After joining the Italian giants in 2014 after a brief spell with Galatasaray, the 2011/12 Premier League winner hoped to restore them to their former glory.
Inter have not progressed under his management and are still a shadow of the side which won the 2010 Champions League.
Tottenham appear to have played a prominent role in his impending exit with their heavy win, and and supporter who had to watch a Mancini managed Manchester City destroy them at White Hart Lane in 2011 may have a little smile at their belated, low key revenge.
