Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has praised his teammate Mousa Dembele.
Winks has been in direct competition with Dembele for a place in Tottenham’s team.
The youngster is still fighting to break into Mauricio Pochettino’s team on a permanent basis, but he appears to know just how hard it will be to nail down a place in Tottenham’s starting line-up.
When asked who is the best player he has ever played with, Winks responded instantly: “Mousa Dembele.”
It is hardly a surprise to see Dembele being hailed by his fellow Spurs players.
The 31-year-old is often regarded as Tottenham’s best player by his teammates at the North London club.
Dembele is still playing an important role for Spurs, but his injury problems are becoming a slight concern.
Dembele admitted to playing through the pain barrier for most of last season recently.
When Dembele does have to take a back-seat, Winks appears to be one of the most likely players to step in and replace him in Tottenham’s line-up.
