Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane finished the season on 29 goals.

Gary Lineker has suggested on Match of the Day, which was broadcast on BBC One on 21st May, that Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane is better than Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.
Kane netted a hat-trick for Spurs against Hull City yesterday, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side finished their campaign with a 7-1 victory at the KC Stadium.
Kane finished the season on 29 league goals, despite being injured.
And Ian Wright and Lineker both feel that Kane has joined an elite group of strikers now.

“When you can give that kind of return, and even last season people were doubting him… I think he’s as good as Benzema,” the Arsenal forward said.
And Lineker responded: “I think he’s better.”
Benzema has scored 11 goals in 29 La Liga matches this campaign, helping Real Madrid win the title.
Kane is well on his way to rivalling Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record, if he remains in England for the entirety of his career.

The England international reclaimed the Premier League’s golden boot trophy, despite missing much of the campaign with injury.
Kane has finished his season by scoring seven goals in his last two outings, after a remarkable run of form.
Kane’s goalscoring exploits helped Spurs finish in second place in the Premier League table this term.
