Romelu Lukaku has scored nine goals for Everton in the Premier League this season, while Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane has scored seven times.

Andy Townsend has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 22nd December, that he would much prefer Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane to Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.

Kane and Lukaku are considered to be two of the top, young strikers in the Premier League.

However, Townsend claims that Tottenham’s Kane is a far superior player to Lukaku.

“I’d have Harry Kane over Lukaku every day of the week,” Townsend said.

Lukaku, meanwhile, has come under criticism at Everton in recent times – with his performances failing to impress.

The former Chelsea forward has been accused of showing a lack of effort during his displays for the Goodison Park side.
