Tottenham Hotspur youngster Luke Amos is on the verge of joining QPR on loan.

Football.London report a season long deal is expected to go through.

For Amos, it is a fresh chance and exactly what he deserves, a chance to go and play regularly and flourish.

Amos was the star of Tottenham’s pre-season tour a year ago, shining against top quality opposition on the US tour.

He made his Premier League debut, before disaster struck.

Amos suffered an ACL injury in an under-23 game and was ruled out of the season.

Returning from a serious knee injury is always tough for players.

That’s especially the case if the player is on the fringes of the first team, with his chances likely to be blocked by new signings.

Amos’ momentum from pre-season and an earlier loan spell has been lost.

A loan to QPR is just right. It will allow Amos a better chance of first team football, and it gives him the chance to test himself in the Championship, where he has never played before.

He deserves this opportunity, whether it leads to a Tottenham future or not, it’s best for Amos’ career.
