Tottenham Hotspur’s Davinson Sanchez has become valued as the most expensive centre-back in world football by the CIES Football Obsevatory.

CIES values players according to their market worth, through performances and the length of time remaining on their contract.

And Tottenham have some seriously valuable players at their disposal now.

The CIES considers Harry Kane to be the second most expensive player in the world, Sanchez to be the most valuable defender in football, and Dele Alli to be the top valued midfielder.

Sanchez was Tottenham’s record signing when he joined, but his value has almost doubled to £82 million now.

Alli, meanwhile, is said to be worth £142 million, which is staggering considering Spurs bought him for just £5 million back in 2015.

Tottenham now have one of the most valuable squads in world football, which is testament to how far they have progressed under Mauricio Pochettino.
