Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli got on the scoresheet for England against Malta.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli has told the Guardian that he wants to become England’s entertainer.
Alli has made a rapid rise in recent years – after progressing from MK Dons to become a Premier League star.
The 20-year-old was selected to start at number 10 for England in their most recent match against Malta, and he got on the scoresheet.

Alli now wants to become one of his country’s most pivotal creative outlets, and he says that new Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate encouraged him to play with freedom before the match against Malta.
“The entertainer?” All said. “I hope so … I like to enjoy the game and to have fun and express myself as much as I can. That’s the kind of thing Gareth was saying to us before the game. So it suited me well.”
England strolled to a 2-0 success on Friday evening in World Cup qualifying, but the Three Lions’ match against Slovenia on Tuesday should be a tougher test.

Alli looks likely to start for Southgate’s men in that fixture, after catching the eye in his latest outing.
Alli also looks likely to feature in Tottenham’s next match, which comes against West Bromwich Albion after the international break.
