The Blues defender’s notion that his side is “used to Wembley” in terms of reaching the final is not likely to be taken well by the Spurs contingent.

Tottenham Hotspur are just one match away from a major cup final as they take a 1-0 lead to Chelsea in Thursday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge.
In the first leg at Wembley, Harry Kane scored the only goal of the game when he converted a 26th-minute penalty amid some VAR controversy.
Going into the return encounter, Spurs have encountered some personnel issues, with England duo Kane and Dele Alli out injured and Son Heung-min still on South Korea duty.
Admittedly it’s a tall order, to face a strong team currently on the back foot – and eager to overturn their deficit – at their own ground, while missing several key players.
However, comments from one Chelsea player ahead of the game could just have done Tottenham’s team talk for them.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, full-back Cesar Azpilicueta outlined the clash against Mauricio Pochettino’s side as the ideal game for the Blues to turn around their recent fortunes.

“I am looking forward to Thursday’s game, I think we have a massive opportunity to come back again to Wembley,” he said. “We were in the FA Cup final a few months ago, we were in the Community Shield.
“We are Chelsea, so we are used to going to Wembley. And hopefully we can bring our fans back again and reach another final.”
Such comments are the sort that managers and coaches would deem fit to pin on the wall of their team’s dressing room before telling the players whether they’re going to stand for them, and to do all they can to ensure they don’t get too used to Wembley, not this time.
