For once, Tottenham Hotspur had a fairly busy summer transfer window.

Cameron Carter-Vickers has stated that he ‘cannot wait to get started’ after he left Tottenham Hotspur to join Stoke City on deadline day.

Stoke City confirmed on their official website on Thursday afternoon that they had secured the services of Tottenham’s Carter-Vickers on a temporary basis.

For a number of seasons now, Carter-Vickers has been plying his trade in the second-tier of English football, as he will now be hoping for success with promotion hopefuls Stoke.

Last season, he was on-loan at then-relegated Swansea City, but his performances at the Liberty Stadium weren’t enough for him to break into Mauricio Pochettino’s senior set-up.

Nonetheless, following his move to Stoke, Carter-Vickers sent this message from his personal Instagram account, as former Tottenham man, Tom Carroll and goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann, son of Spurs legend Jurgen, responded to the American.

Stoke will be hoping to earn promotion to the Premier League after struggling in the Championship last season.

Carter-Vickers will be well aware that if he can help the club earn promotion then it’ll help him in his quest to break into the first-team at Tottenham.

But if he produces poor performances then it’ll only increase the chances that he’ll end up leaving Tottenham on a permanent basis down the line.
