Tottenham Hotspur central defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is reportedly on Leeds United’s radar.
According to Teamtalk, Leeds United are among a number of clubs interested in signing Cameron Carter-Vickers from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
West Bromwich Albion, Derby County and Fulham are also claimed to be want the USA international central defender.
It has been reported that Spurs are willing to let the 21-year-old leave again this summer.
Leeds could do with a central defender following the departure of Pontus Jansson to Championship rivals Brentford, and given Carter-Vickers’s experience in the second tier of English football with Sheffield United, Ipswich Town and Swansea City, he would be a smart signing on a loan deal for the West Yorkshire outfit.
Carter-Vickers played against Leeds last season when he was at Swansea and at Sheffield United, and the Tottenham defender was huge complimentary of the Elland Road faithful last season.
Ahead of the Championship game against Leeds at Elland Road in February 2019, the defender – then at Swansea – reflected on playing against the Whites for the Blades and praised the fans of the club.
Carter-Vickers told Swansea’s official website in February 2019: “It was probably up there with one of my most favourite games.
“Whenever you play at Elland Road it is a good atmosphere and they get right behind their team so it will be our job to keep them quiet and get our fans going.
“They are the atmospheres you want to play in. Big stadiums and loud crowds only inspire us further. We have to use that as motivation in tonight’s game.”
