The 16-year-old talent has suffered a serious injury on international duty with the Belgium under-17s.
Tottenham Hotspur’s talented young goalkeeper Jonathan De Bie has suffered a serious injury and has been in intensive care after a collision whilst on international duty.
The teenager collided with an opponent during Belgium’s under-17 clash with their French counterparts.
He carried on playing the game, but collapsed afterwards, according to a report from Het Nieuwsblad. The 16-year-old has suffered a ruptured spleen and internal bleeding but his condition is stable and he will spend the weekend in a French hospital in Saint-Brieuc.

Belgium FA spokesman Pierre Cornez commented:
“We hope that Jonathan recovers soon and wish him all the best.”
Tottenham Hotspur were recently left reeling after the serious injury suffered by former player and academy graduate Ryan Mason.
De Bie is a highly talented Belgium youth international that Tottenham clearly have high hopes for in the future.

De Bie finalised a move to Tottenham in the summer after leaving KV Mechelen and has been highlighted as a potential future successor to Thibaut Courtois at international level.
He was on trial at Liverpool in March but Tottenham fought hard to conclude his signature in time for the new season.
The club will be hoping he makes a full recovery from this serious incident.
