Everyone is accustomed to Bayern snatching players from their Bundesliga rivals and Sommer wants to be the latest.
Manuel Neuer’s season-ending injury – suffered in a skiing incident – means Bayern are in the market for another goalkeeper.
Sommer is a man they want and the goalkeeper has seemingly submitted a transfer request, specifically to join Bayern.
That means Tottenham may well miss out and be left looking at other goalkeepers again.
We can’t exactly blame Sommer for seeing this big chance to make an impact at Bayern, and staying in Germany may appeal more than a Premier League move anyway.
