If Tottenham Hotspur do go for Bournemouth’s David Brooks now it would only compound the error that they made in the summer transfer window.

The Sun claimed that Brooks was on Tottenham’s radar in the build up to the end of last season.

Spurs had eyes on the attacker when he was at Sheffield United, but failed to move for him.

Bournemouth ended up signing Brooks without competition from Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

But now Sky Sports say that Tottenham are watching the attacking midfielder again.

David Brooks of Bournemouth kicks the ball during the Premier League match between AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace at Vitality Stadium on October 1, 2018 in Bournemouth, United Kingdom.

If Spurs were to make a move for Brooks now, his value would surely have soared.

Tottenham could have got him for relatively cheap price in the summer, but with Brooks impressing in the Premier League, they are almost certain to have to pay big money for him.

Brooks has been one of the standout young players in England’s top flight in recent weeks.

And if Spurs signed him now they would only be highlighting their original error, as he would be so expensive in comparison.
