Tottenham Hotspur originally wanted Everton defender Michael Keane back in 2017.

If Tottenham Hotspur make a move for Micheal Keane now, as has been suggested in the Daily Mail, then they would be making a bad decision in a business sense.

Tottenham originally wanted Michael Keane in 2017, when he would have cost £30 million, but they decided to look elsewhere.

The Telegraph said that Spurs had eyes on Keane when he was at Burnley, but they allowed Everton to snap him up.

Tottenham may be regretting that decision now, but going back for him would be a mistake.

The Mail claim that Everton have slapped a £50 million price-tag on Keane, and at that money the transfer would make little sense.

Keane is now 26, and they could have had him for almost half the price, when he was two years younger had they shown more faith.

Making a move in the summer would just highlight their original mistake of not making a move for the centre-back two years ago and Spurs, therefore, should steer clear of the England international in the next transfer window.
