Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers wide man Adama Traore as the January window draws closer.
Tottenham chasing Traore
The Telegraph claim that Traore remains on Tottenham’s wish list despite the exit of Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nuno wanted Traore over the summer, but a last-gasp £30million bid in August was rejected.
Given that Nuno was then sacked by Tottenham in November, many thought Traore would no longer be on the radar.
Yet with 90Min claiming that Wolves are prepared to sell Traore in January because he won’t sign a new deal, Tottenham could have another go.
Traore is out of contract in 2023 and Wolves may choose to sell now before his valuation dips.
Branded ‘unplayable’ by Jurgen Klopp, Traore is the top dibbler in the Premier League this season with 73 successful take-ons.
Traore hasn’t yet scored though, with his end product still a little hit-and-miss.
Conte has liked Traore before, but where does he fit in?
Back in the summer of 2017, Antonio Conte wanted then-Middlesbrough wide man Traore at Chelsea.
No deal was done, but Conte has been a long-term admirer of Traore.

That means these Tottenham rumours maybe aren’t a huge surprise, but some will wonder what his role could be.
Conte has played a 3-4-2-1 so far, and Traore could fight with Lucas Moura for the right-sided role in attack.
Bryan Gil hasn’t really got going in that role and Steven Bergwijn could be on his way out.
Traore can though play at wing back too, having been deployed there at Wolves on numerous occasions.
That versatility down the right flank could be appealing to Conte and Tottenham, especially if his price tag is dropping.
