Tottenham Hotspur were definitely right to walk away from a potential deal for Wilfried Zaha earlier this summer, as his price-tag has now reached exorbitant levels.

The Sun claim that Crystal Palace now want £120 million for Zaha, which suggests Tottenham would just have been wasting their own time chasing the wide-man.

Tottenham had been linked with a move for Zaha earlier in the summer, with Mauricio Pochettino said to be a huge fan by the Guardian.

But Spurs decided to walk away from the potential deal earlier on in the transfer window, after deeming the signing to be too expensive, as the London Evening Standard have claimed.

That decision looks to be very smart now, with Palace’s asking price for Zaha just going up and up.

Arsenal are the team now trying to negotiate a deal with Palace for Zaha.

However, the Gunners seem to be miles away from reaching an agreeable fee with Palace, and Tottenham’s decision to focus on other targets looks to have been a very sensible one.
