Tottenham Hotspur are said to be in a three way fight for Marseille winger Florian Thauvin.

Spurs must be glad that they didn’t sign the French winger at that time though, as he ended up at Newcastle United and flopped badly.

Thauvin’s first stint in English football did not work out as planned, with his form poor.
However, the 25-year-old has returned to Ligue 1 since and started to fulfil his talent.
It seems that Thauvin’s first spell in English football was not a reflection on his actual ability, and he could be a useful addition for Spurs now.

Thauvin’s quality has been highlighted by the fact he has been named in the France World Cup squad this summer, ahead of the likes of Kingsley Coman and Anthony Martial.
The tricky wide-man scored 22 goals and claimed 12 assists in 35 Ligue 1 games this season.
And, if he was to arrive at Spurs, Pochettino may feel that he is getting the winger at just the right time.
