Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

According to Football Transfers, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Kalvin Phillips from Premier League rivals Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City

Phillips has struggled to make an impact at City since moving to Pep Guardiola’s side from Leeds United in the summer of 2022.

The report has claimed that the £150,000-a-week (Spotrac) England international defensive midfielder is “likely to leave” in the January transfer window.

And, Tottenham are keen on bringing the 27-year-old to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from eight matches.

Tottenham are level on points with North London rivals Arsenal, who are second.

City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, are third with 18 points from eight games.

My View: Kalvin Phillips should consider Tottenham Hotspur transfer

I believe that Kalvin Phillips should seriously consider a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

Even with Rodri suspended, Phillips is not starting matches for City.

That indicates that City manager Pep Guardiola does not really rate the former Leeds star highly.

Tottenham are a big and ambitious club, and if they want Phillips, then the midfielder should seriously look at moving to the North London club.

The midfielder has made 64 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Phillips has scored one goal and given three assists in those games.
