Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are about to make a final decision on the future of Valencia target Bryan Gil.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Tottenham and Valencia are in direct talks over the transfer of Gil.

Valencia want to sign the 20-year-old Spain international winger on a straight loan until the end of the season.

The La Liga club are also willing to pay the youngster’s salary in full until the end of the season.

Romano has reported that Tottenham will make a final decision in the coming hours.

Bryan Gil to leave Tottenham for Valencia

In our view, Gil potentially leaving Tottenham for Valencia on loan this month has its positives and negatives.

Now, Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte is not using the winger – who cost Spurs £21.6 million (Sky Sports) – much.

The 20-year-old winger has made eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season.

So, a move to Valencia and getting the chance to play games is good for Gil.

However, it would also mean that the winger will not be able to work with Conte on a regular basis.

Moreover, moving back to La Liga would not help Gil in getting to know and adapt to the Premier League better.
