Tottenham Hotspur target Bruno Fernandes is set to be offered a new contract.

After failing to land a big move to Tottenham in the recent transfer window, Bruno Fernandes is set to be offered a new contract.
Sporting president Frederico Varandas told the club’s official website he felt Fernandes had earned a new deal.
He said: “His contract will be reviewed because he deserves it, he has deserved an increase, also because it will be an example to the whole world. That’s how I work: if you give me, I’ll give you. We all agree: agents, players and club.”
Fernandes came close to signing for Tottenham before the transfer deadline.
Varandas confirmed that Spurs made an offer, but Daniel Levy and he could not come to an agreement.
The attacking midfielder might have missed his chance too, with Spurs moving for Giovani Lo Celso.
Fernandes scored 31 goals in all competitions last season and has already provided four assists for Sporting this campaign.
He was linked with a move to Real Madrid before the recent transfer deadline, Eurosport reported, but remained at Sporting.
Now at least a potential pay rise could soften the blow.
