Tottenham are keen on Ajax sensation Donny van de Beek.

The central midfielder is in terrific form, and scored his ninth goal of the season this weekend in a 3-0 win over title rivals PSV Eindhoven.
Van de Beek has five assists too, and credits Netherlands hero Wesley Sneijder as a recent inspiration.

The pair recently linked up on international duty, and Van de Beek told VoetballZone he received some worthwhile advice from the former Inter Milan star: “He felt that I had to concentrate a lot more on my own game. I have focused more on scoring, because I can just do that.
“I hope he is proud of me. It’s nice to talk to him about football.”
Van de Beek’s performances have the football world sitting up and taking notice of the way he is running games at just 20-years-old.

He is Dutch football’s answer to Harry Winks, and it would be a superb piece of business if Tottenham could bring him in to play alongside or rotate with the England international.
If Tottenham were only loosely interested before, his performance at the weekend should convince them he is a player worth pursuing.
Former Eredivisie coach Zeljko Petrovic was quoted by VoetballZone: “I think he is such a clever player. I feel that he can perform at Swansea City, but also at Manchester United and Manchester City. He does everything so simple and is good at everything.”
