Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Cengiz Under says he dreams of playing for their rivals Chelsea, or Manchester United.
Last month Tottenham Hotspur were claimed by Turkish outlet Ajanspor to have agreed a fee for winger Cengiz Under.
The 19-year-old plays for Istanbul Basaksehir, who surprised many to finish second in the Turkish Super Lig last season.
The links to Spurs at this point certainly seem to have been overplayed, with the North London side yet to make any progress on bringing him to White Hart Lane.
And they may have their work cut out.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy
Under admitted this weekend that he dreams of a move to Premier League, but Tottenham were not one of the two clubs he mentioned he wanted to play for.
He told Milliyet: “Every player wants to play in a team like Manchester United or Chelsea.
“I believe that one day I will play for one of those teams.
“Among the leagues I want to play in are La Liga, the Bundesliga and the Premier League, but I want to play in the Premier League the most.”
Turkey fans
Under is already a Turkey international and has even got on the scoresheet for his country.
The winger has teams around Europe tracking his progress, and will know all about Tottenham from his Basaksehir teammate Emmanuel Adebayor.
Tottenham could probably sway him, but if it comes down to a straight choice between them and Chelsea, it appears he would prefer to pick the Blues.
