Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves, a player Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool also want to sign, according to 90min.

The report published this morning has claimed that Tottenham are among a number of clubs who have Wolves midfielder Neves on their shortlist.

Liverpool and Newcastle United also want to sign the 25-year-old Portugal international, described as “a top, top player” and “sensational” by former Manchester United star Gary Neville on Sky Sports Premier League (7:29pm, March 18, 2022).

The report has claimed that Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona are long-term admirers of the former FC Porto star.

The Mirror reported last week that Liverpool are considering a bid for Neves in the January transfer window.

Could Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool sign Ruben Neves?

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool are unlikely to be able to sign Ruben Neves from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.

90min have reported that Wolves do not want to sell Neves this month.

And we do not think that the Portuguese star himself would push for a move away from the Wanderers in the January transfer window.

After all, Wolves are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, and the club will want to keep all of their best players beyond January.
