Tottenham Hotspur are desperate for new signings on deadline day.

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to make any new signings during the summer transfer window, and manager Mauricio Pochettino is in desperate need of additions
Spurs are the only Premier League team looking to make their first singing of the summer, and here are a host of names to keep an eye on heading into the final day of the summer transfer window.
Jack Grealish
Aston Villa playmaker Grealish has been Tottenham’s top target this summer, but Spurs are struggling to secure this signature. Sky Sports report that Villa have blocked a £25million move to North London, and the midfielder is understood to be disappointed with Villa’s stance. Grealish is the main name for Spurs fans to track on deadline day, and another bid from Tottenham today would be far from a surprise.
Marcelo Brozovic
Brozovic may have been linked with Spurs on and off for many years, but his name has resurfaced again, with Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List reporting that Tottenham have now failed with a €40million (£36million) bid for Brozovic, and would need to activate his €50million (£45million) release clause to seal a deal. The 25-year-old midfielder starred for Croatia at the World Cup, and whilst he would be a fine addition to the Spurs midfield, time may be running out to seal a deal.

Anthony Martial
Another name regularly linked with Tottenham is Manchester United forward Martial, who has struggled to win a regular place under Jose Mourinho. Football.London claim that Spurs are expected to make one last attempt to sign Martial today, but much will hinge on United’s interest in Toby Alderweireld, as Tottenham will hope that United’s desperation for a centre back will tempt them into letting Martial go in a part-exchange deal.
Joao Mario
One surprise name linked is Inter Milan’s Joao Mario, as The Mirror claim that he is hoping for a move to Tottenham on deadline day. The Portuguese midfielder spent the second half of last season with West Ham United and now seemingly wants a London return, with Daniel Levy open to a loan deal if Spurs can’t land Grealish. He may not be the target Tottenham fans wanted, but he is a name to keep close tabs on today.
