This Tottenham Hotspur side has the makings of an outstanding team, but the past month has shown they have a lot to learn yet.
Prior to the last international break, Spurs received plenty of plaudits after recording a big victory over Manchester City.
This showcased their talent and put them right in the title picture. They remain in the mix, but are currently in fifth place, with a tough stretch of fixtures coming up.

Tottenham’s team is among the youngest in the Premier League, and while this gives them a fearless nature, it also means their inexperience can at times catch up with them.
Their five consecutive draws since the City win showcases this, how they are still struggling to handle the success and plaudits that beating Guardiola’s side brought.
A similar run unfolded last season when they beat Stoke 4-0 late in the season, and fans really begun to believe they could pip Leicester to the title.

As the pressure cranked up, Tottenham folded, and failed to win any of their past four remaining games.
The inability to handle success not a problem which is unable to fix, but until they do, it will hold them back.
Next week Spurs face Arsenal in the North London derby, and it would not be a surprise to see them emerge as winners.
But the real test will be how they follow up a win, to see if the team has the maturity to build on their progress and deliver the consistency needed to put together a title winning campaign.
