Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Hakim Ziyech once said it was his dream to play for Arsenal.

Calcio Mercato has suggested that Tottenham will move for the Ajax playmaker this summer, but if he is to sign then Spurs fans would have to forgive him for his past comments about their bitter rivals.

Ziyech once told Ajax TV that he dreamt of playing for Arsenal.

The Moroccan said, when asked who he would like to play for: “Well, I have two clubs.

“They are Arsenal and Barcelona. That is my ultimate dream.”

Whether those comments would put Tottenham fans off the attacking midfielder remain to be seen.

However, Ziyech would almost certainly make a good addition to Spurs’ squad.

Ziyech has racked up over 20 goals and assists for Ajax this term, and looks to be one of the stand out talents in Dutch football.

The Sun have suggested that Tottenham could sign Ziyech for £25 million if they made an offer due to a clause in his contract.

And, at that price, he could be one of the best additions of the summer.
