Tottenham target could have signed with Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Dutch winger Arnaut Darjume Groeneweld, report The Mail.
Groeneveld plays for Club Brugge in Belgium, signing for the club after a prolific campaign for NEC Nijmegen last summer.
The former PSV trainee made his Dutch international debut earlier this season.
Groeneveld was wanted by Manchester City in the summer, after a 17 assist season last year.
He explained via Football Oranje, why he turned down the chance to move.
He said: “I consciously opted for Brugge. There was also interest from Germany, England and France. I follow my feelings, always.
“I can not explain how that works exactly, but here it just worked. The club really wanted me. I love that attention.
“When I came here, it was immediately clear to me. Compared to all other clubs that were interested – including Manchester City – I can best develop here.”

Tottenham may find that their interest comes too soon for the 21-year-old to move on, just six months into a contract which runs until 2022.
If they do, they need to show him they really want him. Perhaps offering the chance to develop under Mauricio Pochettino will be enough.
