Benfica midfielder Bryan Cristante is on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar as a replacement for Mousa Dembele, The Mirror report.

Cristante is on loan at Atalanta and he has heard the speculation surrounding his future.

In an interview with Italian newspaper L’Eco Di Bergamo, Cristante insists he is staying focused and will deal with it at the time, although admits he is flattered.

“If something happens in the summer, the club and my attorney will talk about it.”

Cristante was sold by AC Milan two years ago and this appears to be a deal the Serie A side regret.

He has scored 11 goals in all competitions for Atalanta this season including eight in the league.

Cristante appears to have been more of an investment by Benfica than a purchase for themselves, as he has only played seven league games for them before being sent out on loan.

Atalanta reportedly have a first option deal, and Football Italia report they could activate this and then sell him on for a huge profit, aiming for around 30 million Euros (£26m)
