Tottenham Hotspur are said to be working on a deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Tottenham Hotspur target Bruno Fernandes faced humiliation last night, in what could be his last ever game for Sporting Lisbon.
Tottenham are thought to be working on a deal to sign Fernandes from Lisbon (London Evening Standard), but the creative midfielder was still risked by his current club yesterday.
Lisbon took on Benfica in the Portuguese Super Cup, and they were battered 5-0 by their main rivals, with Fernandes’ performance not particularly impressive.
Benfica ran riot, with Pizzi scoring twice and Rafa Silva, Alex Grimaldo, Ciquinho all getting on the scoresheet, to leave the Tottenham target devastated.

Fernandes was spotted crying at full-time, but whether that was over the result or his future was unclear.
If Fernandes did arrive at White Hart Lane he would bolster Mauricio Pochettino’s side for next term, with Spurs seemingly keen on bringing in more creative options before the season starts.
