Tottenham youngster is making good progress for the under-23s this season.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Dilan Markanday is showing this season he can rise to the challenge of playing for the under-23 side.
Markanday had a very impressive season for the under-18s last year, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
He was one of the goalscorers in the first competitive game held at Tottenham’s new stadium in March, a 3-1 win over Southampton for the under-18s. He also had an assist in this game.
This season the tricky winger has been promoted to Tottenham’s under-23 side.
He is handling it well, playing in four out of five games for the side this season. He also featured in the EFL Trophy game against Ipswich as a starter.
Markanday scored his first ever under-23 goal in Tottenham’s goal with Southampton on Friday, a 2-2 draw. He netted the opener, firing a low shot into the corner with his left foot.
This was an important step in the right direction for the winger, who is just 18-years-old.
Markanday was unlucky not to go on Tottenham’s pre-season tour this past season, with several other youngsters’ involved.
George-Kevin N’Koudou’s departure could mean that next year, there is a slot for him, if he can kick on at under-23 level.
It always good to see young players break through, and Markanday has a chance. It’s early days, but the progress he is making should be commended.
