Tottenham beat Sunderland 2-1 at the Stadium of Light this evening.
Tottenham Hotspur came from behind in today’s late kick-off to beat Sunderland 2-1.
The Black Cats went ahead in the 37th minute when Andrew Johnson took advantage of a Hugo Lloris mistake to score.
But Andre Villas-Boas’s men hit back through Paulinho before John O’Shea continued the tradition of the day to put through his own net.
In a match full of incidents, the recalled Jermain Defoe twice hit the woodwork while Gus Poyet’s men had a penalty claim rejected.
The result sees Spurs climb up to sixth in the Premier League, while Sunderland remain bottom.
