West Ham visit Tottenham’s new stadium this weekend.

This weekend will be West Ham’s first visit to Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium.
It gives Tottenham’s fans a chance to hit back at jibes made by Hammers vice-chairman Karren Brady two years ago.
Writing in her column for The Sun, Brady took a dig at Tottenham’s efforts to specially design the acoustics of their new stadium.
She said: “Three cheers for Spurs who announce that the crowd in their new stadium will be extra-loud due to acoustic technology involving an aluminium-lined, curved roof and padded seats.
“We didn’t consider such additions at the London Stadium. And, anyway, we like to think Hammers fans can make enough noise to raise our own spectacular roof.”

This is the opportunity for Tottenham supporters to show how much noise they can make.
Whether that be assisted by impressive design and architecture, so be it.
Tottenham’s stadium has earned rave reviews so far, with the players impressed with the noise from supporters too.
Victor Wanyama told the matchday program this week reported by Football London: “The noise you can hear, it gives you a lift. Whenever anything happens on the pitch, whether you’re going to attack or defend, you can feel the support from the fans.”
Tottenham’s players will be expecting more of the same this weekend.
