Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has not had an ideal start to life in the Premier League, but is not worried.
He has failed to score in the division for his new club since signing from AZ Alkmaar, despite being given enhanced opportunities of late due to Harry Kane’s injury.
It is too early to judge Janssen as another Roberto Soldado, especially as the Dutchman is still just 22-years-old.

Despite this he has come under criticism, with pundit Martin Keown telling The Mail that he is not ready to play in the Premier League.
Janssen, currently on international duty with Holland, was asked if the problems were mental, speaking to De Telegraaf, but he says he simply needs to be allowed to do what he does best.
He said: “I do not need a mental coach. I want to focus on football, and just go on the field to do my thing.”

Prolific in Holland last year, Janssen will hope his lack of goals for Spurs – just one from a penalty spot versus Gillingham – does not affect his international place.
Potentially his time with the national squad could revitalise his confidence, but Janssen appears to suggest he has no issues, and is full of belief he will come good.
Tottenham paid a big fee to sign him in the summer and their faith in him to come good will not disappear overnight, and once he gets his first in the Premier League there may be no stopping him.
