The Dutch striker says he can count to ten again after getting knocked out against Belgium this week.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has been speaking about the impact of his recent head injury suffered on international duty with the Netherlands.
The Spurs striker was attempting to get on the end of a chipped pass from Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum when Liverpool’s stopper came crashing into him to punch the ball clear.

It soon became clear that Janssen was not well enough to continue and he has since been ruled out of the upcoming Dutch clash with Luxembourg due to concussion.
He lost 20 minutes of memory from the game and has now been discussing his recovery with the press in Holland.
He told Algemeen Dagblad yesterday:

“I can count to ten, but fortunately.
“How long it takes and how the next few days will look like, I do not know.
“It’s the first time I have experienced something like that. It sucks, I’d have played on Sunday of course.”

Janssen has had a tough time since heading to Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in the summer, but has generally still been in good form for the Dutch national team. With that in mind it is no surprise that he is disappointed to be out of action for the upcoming international fixture.
But now he must focus on recuperating in time for Tottenham’s next game against West Ham United next Saturday.
