Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane is fully expecting the core of manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side to remain with the club over the summer transfer window, as reports Goal.com.

Spurs have had an excellent campaign and while there will be many who point to their lack of trophies, the progress they’ve made under Pochettino has been remarkable, with the North London side making what seemed to be an easy title win for Chelsea very uncomfortable for the Blues.

Their success on the pitch has come at a minor inconvenience for Spurs fans however, with many of their key players being linked with moves away from the club to some of Europe’s heavyweights.

However, 23-year-old Kane – who’s scored 28 goals in 36 games for Tottenham this season – believes that there won’t be any major outgoings or upheaval at the club, as it feels like a family environment where everyone looks out for each other, and at this moment in time, there aren’t many places better to be than Spurs.

“We’re a family on and off the pitch,” Kane said, as reported by Goal. “We work so hard as a group and the staff, the manager… look, there’s not many better teams to be at around the world at the moment.

“We’ve got a very bright future, a great squad, a team that’s hungry to win and to learn and to get better. Of course, there are going to be rumours over the summer, but I think I’d be very surprised if most of us aren’t still here next season.”

Next season looks to be a pivotal one for Spurs, who, having left their home of White Hart Lane while their new stadium is being built, will have to overcome their Wembley hoodoo as that will be their home ground next year.

Since the new Wembley re-opened, Spurs have made 10 appearances at the home of English football – winning just twice and losing a colossal seven times, and Pochettino’s side will have to turn that around if they’re to compete at the top end of the table.
