Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente is attracting interest from the likes of Leicester City and West Ham United.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente could potentially be walking into reportedly interested parties, West Ham United or Leicester City with a Champions League trophy medal if things go his way in the European Cup final in Madrid.
The Sun recently claimed that West Ham United and Leicester City have joined the race to sign the 34-year-old, who they claim will leave the club at the end of the season on a free transfer.
It is said that despite Llorente’s heroics leading up to Spurs’ Champions League final, he will depart with West Ham, Leicester, and other clubs interested in his services.
If Llorente were to have a choice then he should opt to join Leicester City over someone like West Ham because he would arguably thrive a lot more under Brendan Rodgers stewardship than Manuel Pellegrini’s.
Whilst Jamie Vardy holds the starting role at the King Power Stadium, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the duo actually work as a pairing for the Midlands outfit.
Added with that, given the fact that West Ham are Tottenham’s London rivals, it wouldn’t sit well with the Spurs faithful if one of their players decided to join the Hammers, whether that player is a regular or not.
Plus, it could even be argued that Llorente would earn more game time at Leicester City. At the London Stadium, there are a number of players competing for that forward role and adding Llorente to that mix may just complicate things further.
But before a decision is made on Llorente’s future, he will be hoping to help his team push for that European Cup in Madrid at the weekend.
