Mauricio Pochettino is now said to be working on a deal to bring Anthony Martial to Tottenham Hotspur.

Hugo Lloris of Spurs looks on during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton at Wembley Stadium on December 26, 2017 in London, England.

Hugo Lloris will surely be delighted if Tottenham Hotspur do manage to complete a deal for Manchester United’s Anthony Martial.

RMC Sport have suggested that Spurs want Martial ahead of the summer transfer window.

And the 22-year-old Frenchman is a player who has been on Lloris’ radar for some time.

Martial was called up to the French national team at the age of 19, such was his talent.

And Lloris was immediately impressed with the attacker’s quality, upon seeing him in training.

“We talked a lot about him lately. He has to digest all of that, but he has huge potential,” Lloris said to the Independent, three years ago.

“I’m sure that tomorrow, or in the future he will serve the national team and continue to grow.

“In any case, he really has huge potential to become a great player. But he must take one step after another.”

Martial has shown that he does have the talent to become one of the most threatening attacking players in the Premier League, but he arguably hasn’t been given enough of a chance at United this season.

Martial has just 16 league starts to his name this term, which has encouraged Tottenham that a deal could be possible.

And if Mauricio Pochettino wants to source the opinion of his players over whether Martial would be a good addition, then Lloris would certainly back the transfer, if his past comments are anything to go by.
