Ian Wright has given his take on The Kelly & Wrighty Show on Tottenham Hotspur forward Steven Bergwijn scoring two late goals against Leicester City in the Premier League in midweek.
Tottenham got the better of Leicester 3-2 away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
Netherlands international forward Bergwijn scored twice late on for Antonio Conte’s side.
The 24-year-old – who joined Tottenham from PSV Eindhoven in January 2020 for £27 million (BBC Sport) – found the back of the net in the fifth and the seventh minute of injury time.
Arsenal legend Wright was following the match, and he has given his take on the late drama.
Wright said on The Kelly & Wrighty Show: “I was watching it. It’s not because it’s Spurs, I am not going to celebrate, but you just get naturally excited about that kind of finish.
“Because I was very surprised that they got back in with Bergwijn, it was a very good substitution, inspired. And when they scored the winner, you can’t help but laugh really.”

Steven Bergwijn could be big for Tottenham
In our opinion, Bergwijn could be a big player for Tottenham in the coming weeks and months.
Spurs head coach Antonio Conte has said that Bergwijn could play as a striker despite being a winger by trade.
The Tottenham no. 23 has made three starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
Bergwijn has scored two goals and given one assist in those games.
The Dutchman has scored one goal in two Carabao Cup games, and has played twice in the Europa Conference League for Tottenham this campaign.
