Tottenham Hotspur star Lucas Moura was back at training this week.

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Lucas Moura was back at training on Monday. Really, it was bit fortunate that he was.
That’s because Lucas’ being overlooked for Brazil’s Copa America squad was an unfair snub to the Tottenham star after his brilliant end to the season.
How many other players scored Champions League semi-final hat-tricks?
Brazil didn’t miss him in the end, winning the Copa America, and their decision suits Tottenham nicely, to have Lucas here for the start of pre-season, rather than only joining up with the squad in late July or early August.
Nonetheless, Lucas has his pride, and yet another international snub after last summer’s World Cup will have been a disappointment.
Coming so soon after being left on the bench for the Champions League final, it was a double blow for the Brazilian.

It means Lucas returns to the club unable to rest on his laurels, he has a point to prove all over again.
That’s a positive for Tottenham, who need a hungry player and not a complacent one.
Lucas’ performances last season were a big step in the right direction.
Next season is a big one for him, to show he can become a truly undroppable player, for club and country.
